For a client of ours, a company that develops interactive slot games and mobile applications for Symbian, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, iOS, Android and mobile web, we are looking for a Lead Android Developer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Design and implement Android-based application software and related components.
● Perform research, evaluate and decide on using external libraries and frameworks.
● Structure and optimize layouts for a variety of device screen sizes and OS versions.
● Design and implement integrations with external data sources and APIs.
● Serve as knowledge expert for writing unit-tests and following CI practices.
● Be effective in implementing strategies for improving application performance.
● Implement top industry standards for writing clean, readable and reusable code.
● Participate in daily Scrums, provide updates and collaborate with the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

● 5+ years of experience in the software development industry.
● 4+ years of strong technical hands-on development experience with Android.
● At least 2 years in creating and implementing complex technical scenarios and designs for Android applications with large codebase.
● Strong knowledge and experience with Java and OOP.
● Excellent understanding of the best practices for integrating Android applications with variety of external APIs.
● Very good knowledge in data binding in Android.
● Good knowledge and understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies.
● Ability to deliver to deadline, as required in a Sprint methodology.
● Ability to organise and prioritise work appropriately, as required.
● Ability to work within a team and communicate ideas clearly and in positive manner.
● Excellent presentation skills.
● Strong mentoring skills.
● Fuency in English.
