Senior Software Developer Go/C++ (SDK, Acronis Application Backup)

Acronis SDK software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how many users connect, browse, and interact with data in Acronis Cloud. We are looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security.

Acronis Application Backup is a software for backup of business applications like MS SQL, MS Exchange, Office365, Google Suite, etc. The main goals are to support new application workloads and make the new product version flawless. Application Backup functionality is constantly bringing new features based on innovative technologies every version release. Developers of Application Backup are working closely with the rest of the engineering and product team to architects.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work within a development team to develop, integrate and debug code for Windows/Linux
• Design and implement new features to the Acronis Application Backup components
• Contribute to improving best practices of developing Go/C++ server applications
• Conduct write unit and automated tests
• Use cutting-edge tools for agile development and for monitoring such as git, JIRA, ElasticSearch, and lots more


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ year of experience writing well-designed, high-quality production code
• Demonstrated excellence with combination of: writing high code in Go/C++, usage of STL, Boots libraries
• Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering principals (standard algorithms, data structures, multithreading and multiprocessing)
• A willing to dive into existing code base


WILL BE A PLUS:

• Experience of working with team and cross-team communications
• Familiarity with build and deployment technologies and systems (Jenkins, Bitbacket/Git, Jira)
• Understanding of system API and its platform specific (Windows, Linux)
• Knowledge of Python or any other scripting language
