VFS Global is the world's largest and most experienced Outsourcing & Technology Service Specialists for Diplomatic Missions and Governments Worldwide.The primary role of the Greeter Representative at the US Embassy / Consulate is crowd management, guiding applicants to their respective interview counters and acting as a facilitator between Consular Staff and visa applicants.
This role is a full-time role 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, 5 days per week. Initial 12 months contract with possibility of transition to permanent.
Job Description:
- Crowd management, guiding applicants to their respective interview counters and acting as a facilitator between Consular Staff and visa applicants.
- Check arriving applicants against daily manifest.
- Verify applicants’ ID and appointment information, facilitate consular applicant entry into and movement through and out of consular section facilities.
- Assist in providing basic information on navigating around waiting area of in the consular section.
- Maintain and facilitate an orderly entrance and exit of all applicants into and out of the waiting areas.
- Be alert/attentive in case of a security alarm and follow the security guidelines as provided by consular section.
- Alert NIV Supervisor/other NIV Staff for any type of anomaly including medical emergency.
- In case of any evacuation announcements direct the applicants to the designated waiting area as per instructions.
- Assist with arranging GSS mail (i.e., opening, sorting, and bar coding) already properly screened by post’s mailroom, in the consular section, under consular supervision during non-interview hours and with appropriate Regional Security Office (RSO) certification.
- Assist with IW courier-in package opening, sorting, and barcoding.
- Distribute, as needed, approved consular information/materials onsite at the consular section prior to applicant interviews, and execute any necessary workflow efficiency studies in coordination with Task Order Management.

- Proficient in English and Bulgarian
