Our client is a global online provider of foreign exchange (forex) trading and related services to retail and institutional customers worldwide, providing services through its own online trading platforms and affiliates. The company has offices in Plano, San Francisco, London, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Hong Kong, Sydney, Athens, Tokyo, affiliate offices in Toronto, Tel-Aviv, Santiago, Beirut and has a rapidly growing back-office operations department in Sofia.
Working hours: Full time, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday: 12.00 to 9.00 pm
Responsibilities include, (but are not limited to):
• Assist the Treasury Finance Manager with utilizing and creating forecasting tools (MS
Excel and MS Access), to manage the flow of cash into and out of assigned bank accounts. Ensure the flow of funds to support our client's needs and maximize the use of our client's global operating and customer cash.
• Participate in balancing excess cash or cash shortages against short-term investments or
savings accounts on a regular basis; ensuring all outgoing transfers have been processed
and that all account balances have been positioned to forecasted levels.
• Assist in recommendations for daily cash disposition (US) - invest decisions.
• Manage daily bank statement reconciliations for consolidated US cash position. Review
monthly bank statements related to fees and interest.
• Assist in managing global foreign exchange risk (balances) to firm.
• Create and monitor daily alerts for financial institution’s credit ratings and stock prices
and update quarterly risk reports.
• Assist with company audits related to cash management and foreign exchange exposure.
• Improve daily reporting files by creating logical and innovative solutions to complex
reports.
Qualifications:
• B.S. degree or equivalent in accounting/finance.
• 1+ year experience in treasury/cash management operations. Experience in a global
organization preferred.
• High level of organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail demonstrated through identifying gaps in
existing processes and providing insight to leadership on process improvement.
• Ability to work flexible working hours.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Superior writing skills/fluent English.
• Proficiency with the treasury management tools for different banking systems preferred.
• Understanding of short term investments and products preferred.
• Knowledge of CFTC, FCA, SFC, JFSA and other international financial regulatory
environment preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in financial risk management strategies.
