Our client is a global company with more than 160 years of history and a significant number of locations all over the world. Considering their growth on the Bulgarian market, we are looking for an experienced:

Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Review, on a monthly basis, all overhead expenses reported on income statements identifying variances and obtaining and providing explanations
• Develop processes and procedures to accurately transfer financial data from local accounting systems to global reporting packages
• Assess short-term cash requirements. Liaison with corporate head office to arrange for financing as necessary. Coordinate documentation requirements with banks
• Ensure foreign currency exposure is properly hedged; Provide monthly analysis for foreign exchange gain or loss
• Act as liaison with parent company overhead departments including tax, insurance, treasury, internal audit, corporate accounting and legal. Provide information to and carry out directives from these departments
• Develop processes for, and coordinate, the annual accumulation of all corporate budgets and reforecasts. Develop G&A budget directly and coordinate with production and commercial trading teams for other activities
• Accumulate and complete analysis over reforecasts/revisions to budgets as required (coordination with production and commercial trading accounting teams)
• Preparation and review monthly financial reports for all reporting units
• Assist with analyzing monthly financial reporting, including industrial results, with coordination with production and commercial trading teams

Experience and skills:

• Previous experience in working in the area of finance and accounting processes
• Financial and commercial experience and awareness is a must
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a mid size for-profit business
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, IFRS, general ledger practices, inter-company, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience in the area of internal and external financial reporting, foreign exchange
• Strong time management and organization skills with ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
• Previous supervision responsibilities will be consider as an advantage
• Fluency in English language
