For one of our clients, a leading multinational brand, we are currently looking for:

UK GAAP Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the local statutory accounts and any statistical reports (local, country-specific and US) or requests from local governments organizations and/or banks;
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of General Ledger journals, balance sheet reconciliations and relevant journal entries;
• Ensure accurate, efficient and timely completion of tax reporting as well as all Record to Report period end closing procedures;
• Provide advice on General Ledger processes and support continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects;
• Record adjustments for local GAAP purposes and/or provide assistance and training to the Shared Services center and Capgemini to record standard, recurring local GAAP adjustment entries;
• Provides information for the forecast for local / UK GAAP differences and balance sheet accounts;
• Liaises, corresponds and co-ordinates with internal and external auditors, business unit customers, key stockholders and local government.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company or Big 4 audit firm;
• Experience with UK GAAP and IFRS is mandatory;
• University degree and professional accounting qualification;
• Experience completing statutory books;
• Fluent English;
• Ability to address or escalate complex issues within the Record to Report area;
• Strong ERP experience is mandatory (preferably SAP).
