Our client is a global online provider of foreign exchange (forex) trading and related services to retail and institutional customers worldwide, providing services through its own online trading platforms and affiliates. The company has offices in Plano, San Francisco, London, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Hong Kong, Sydney, Athens, Tokyo, affiliate offices in Toronto, Tel-Aviv, Santiago, Beirut and has a rapidly growing back-office operations department in Sofia.
The Role:
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our client`s team on the position of Senior Accountant. The role involves working with the locally based team leader and the Finance department in London to assist with the transferring of specific tasks and providing cover to the London team where necessary. Also providing support and cover for the reconciliations accountants (working alongside the global Treasury & Finance department functions, the successful candidate will be approving and releasing [high volume/high value] ACH, CHAPS and Wire payments).
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for specific tasks and projects;
• Providing cover to the London Finance team as required;
• Approving and releasing client withdrawals;
• Approving and releasing vendor payments;
• Investigating and resolving queries in relation to payments.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Fluent English;
• Experience in forex markets;
• Computer literate, including Excel skills to a minimum of VLOOKUP and PIVOT TABLES;
• Payment processing experience;
• Good eye for detail;
• Excellent communication skills in all directions, i.e. up, down and sideways;
• Ability to work well under pressure;
• Proactive team player;
• Self-motivational and ability to manage own time efficiently;
• Qualified AAT;
• Qualified or part qualified ACCA.
Desirable:
• Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience;
• Experience in the Financial Sector;
• Payment routing knowledge;
• Basic understanding of Client Money (CASS).
