Job scope/summary:

This position is part of the CS (Customer Support) Supply Chain Organization, reporting directly to the CS Supply Chain Demand Planning Director under Personal Systems Platform. The Services Supply Chain ships more than 9M parts, processes 650k whole unit repair events globally per year through an extensive network of outsourcing partners.

The Business Operations Manager will be responsible to lead the Regional demand planning team, establish & lead a team to execute processes of Excess and Obsolescence (E & O), Buy/sell, Vendor interaction and governance of the Demand Planning organization within HP Customer Support Supply Chain. Will drive the evolution of the Demand Planning function in alignment with customer support organization strategies and functional objectives. Will drive continued efficiency and optimization of the demand Planning Organization.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

• Accountable for demand planning activities for multiple, complex Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), ensuring that performance (inventory, cost, service level etc.) meets the overall business needs, including but not limited to: Demand Forecasting, E & O material management, successful launch and positing of material to support new product launches, End of Support Life (EOSL) material management, Life Time Buy (LTB’s) and monitoring and risk management of same
• Work closely with partner management team to assure alignment and assurance of supply of service materials
• Work closely with long term strategy team to align and drive organization to achieve short- and long-term business goals
• Work closely with regional network inventory management team to assure LOF and other service material supply requirements are met
• Responsible for defining and creating a new core competency and team and involves hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensure that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes
• Ensure the delivery of products and services that meet the performance metrics defined by senior management; support the design of performance measurement processes
• Consult with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope
• Create new operational efficiencies and cost savings within the supply chain on a broad scale using process improvement and policy development
• Ensure that operations are achieving the key business metrics
• Oversee the development and delivery of complex initiatives that can impact the supply chain globally, typically requiring the leadership of cross-functional and cross-regional teams
• Strategically drive a broad range of complex demand planning processes, generate end user demand forecast through the utilization of smart analytics and new Simplify datasets throughout service support life
• Leverage historical forecast data, end-user demand, market and product intelligence, statistical forecasting inputs, AI and Machine Learning to create a robust process and drive continued, sustained accuracy improvements on material demand plans
• Meet financial commitments of excess and obsolesce and Buy/sell inventory reclassification
• Manage a team of Specialist or Expert individual contributors that typically support a complex global business unit

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

• First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred
• Typically, 12+ years of experience in a supply chain function (or related fields)
• Typically, 4-5 years of people management experience

• Excellent understanding of demand and supply planning processes, business operations, and strategy
• Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, data modeling, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent project management skills, including time and risk management, and project structuring
• Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, conflict resolution, and management
• Ability to manage human capital in a virtual and global environment to drive workforce development and achieve desired results
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
• Superior business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive k nowledge in applications and technologies
•Strong understanding of HP’s policies and processes
• Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Advanced understanding of national and international trade requirements
• Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
• Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English. and local language

• Typically lead large and complex business process initiatives
• Collaborate with contributors globally and across functions to deliver supply chain solutions

• Lead complex supply chain demand planning activities for multiple, complex SKUs
