Accountant

Responsibilities:
• Preparing of financial statements and tax declarations in compliance with the Bulgarian legislation;
• Maintaining relationships with the banks and other financial and government institutions;
• Monitor changes in legislation and execute all financial and accounting activities in accordance with the regulations;
• Preparation of current, quarterly and annual financial statements, VAT reports and tax returns submission;
• Overall supervision and coordination of financial and accounting activities.
- Oversees the general accounting function, which includes AR, AP, general ledger, payroll and utilities, fixed assets, treasury, inter-company accounting, production process, inventories and etc.
- Prepare ad-hoc accounting/financial reports for senior management/Group consolidations
- Ensures compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.
- Salary statement preparation.
- Actively engaged in internal, external, and governmental audit.
- Prepare, maintain and analyze the financial and cost accounting systems in support of the monthly financial close and the annual cost analysis process.
- Responsible for preparing and steering monthly closing process in accordance with internally published deadlines and procedures.
- Monitor daily cash flows, control execution of the daily payments, reconciling bank accounts.
Requirements:
• University degree in Accountancy or Finance (or relevant Economic Education)
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing company;
• Very good English language skills;
• Excellent PC literacy;
• Experience with ERP is considered an advantage;
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting, financial, and tax legislation
• Highly responsible, hardworking, and have a results-oriented personality;
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as ability to work in a team
• Ability to protect sensitive and confidential information
