Job scope/summary:

Payroll Specialist is responsible for performing the day-to-day payroll activities (including cooperation with external payroll vendor) allowing for timely payments of monthly salaries, related income tax and social security payments, as well as for timely submission of any payroll related reports and filings. As a member of the Global Payroll organization the initial focus will be to support Payroll Operations for HP Inc. Bulgaria, but over time could extend to the support of other HP Inc. subsidiaries in the East & South Europe Region.


Job specifics/responsibilities:

• Collaboration with the external payroll providers and the more experienced payroll team members to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll data for the HP Inc. entities under PA’s responsibility. It includes the collection, monitoring of interfaces, preparation, controls and finalization of monthly payroll cycle in compliance with Labor Code and applicable corporate policies.

• On-going maintenance and accuracy of data in the payroll systems and time-tracking systems to guarantee the availability of correct and reliable employee information.

• Ensuring all elements of the payroll process are properly documented in compliance with relevant statutory requirements and corporate policies.

• Ensuring that all internal and statutory reports and filings are prepared and submitted timely and accurately.

• Preparation of ad hoc payroll reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing payroll data.

• Interacting with Controllership to ensure timely payments of salaries.

• Interacting with HR to ensure labor law regulations impacting payroll are integrated in company processes and adequately communicated to employees and business managers.

• Liaising with colleagues and other internal teams (e.g. Finance, HR, IT, etc.) on process management, to resolve any issues and to better serve the customers.

• Providing advice and support to BUs/Global Functions on payroll related matters.

• Responding to any questions/queries related to payroll and time & attendance information (within standard HR policies), providing requested payroll certificates to employees and solving various payroll matters in a timely manner that meets service level agreements.


Key deliverables/accountabilities:

• Timely and accurate processing of payroll data.

• Timely and accurate submission of applicable statutory reports/filings.

• Consistent and fair service to all customers.

• Processes and procedures streamlined and drive self-service concepts, with an ongoing focus on continuous improvement.

• Clear process documentation and SOP preparation/update.



Education (degree) and professional experience required:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent diploma or experience

• At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in Payroll or Finance role

• Knowledge of local labor legislation

• Experience in virtual team environment



Other requirements:

• Fluent English both written and verbal

• Other GWE languages knowledge would be an asset
