Job Description

We are currently looking for a Digital Learning Instructional Designer to join our GDSCS Digital Learning Delivery Team.

The GDSCS Digital Learning Delivery Team. specializes in adapting SME and product content converting it into world-class digital learning materials.

As a Digital Learning Instructional Designer, you will design compelling digital learning courses. In this role you will be conducting training needs analysis, identifying course goals and objectives in addition to creating storyboards and producing the digital learning content itself. You will work closely with global regional trainers and product owners, applying a variety of innovative techniques and instructional design principles, include ADDIE model and Action Mapping approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Digital Learning Content Analysis, Design, Development, Evaluation, and Production:
· You will work with senior learning team members and other subject matter experts in either Global Products or Global Delivery teams to build interactive and engaging digital learning content and courses.
· You are accountable for authoring clear learning objectives for each digital learning course and ensuring learning outcomes and goals are achieved.
· Delivery of high-quality digital learning content, on-brand, and to standard, according to tight deadlines.
· Conduct check-ins with stakeholders during both the design and development process to ensure that the solution addresses learner needs.
· Utilize existing templates to design and develop appropriate Storyboards for both courses and videos/animations.
· Support measurability by demonstrating how your digital learning courses is aligned to the priorities of the business.
· Be involved in evaluating the impact and return on investment of the interventions on business success as agreed with stakeholders.
· The role may also involve the need to get involved with e-learning development.



Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

You must have:
· Experience creating multi-media content.
· Skills in producing, editing and embedding audio and video into digital learning content.
· Knowledge of designing and delivering both digital stand-alone and blended learning programmes across matrix and complex, global organisational structures.
· Excellent written English and communication skills.
· An eye for good aesthetic design.
· Strong background experience of using rapid authoring tools such as Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Camtasia.
· Willingness to learn new authoring tools, share knowledge and have a passion for learning technologies.
· An ability to understand and logically explain concepts and functions.
· Be a strong team player with an enthusiastic, can do approach.
· An ability to engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and how learning may support them.
· Experience of building digital learning materials using Articulate Storyline, Animation Software and the Adobe CC Suite (Premiere Pro).

Beneficial knowledge: (but not essential)
· Qualification in digital content, edtech, multimedia or a design-related discipline.
· Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition and After Effects.
· Familiar with web usability and accessibility standards.
· Knowledge of technical requirements e.g., SCORM/ xAPI/Tincan etc.
· Experience using audio and video recording equipment.
· Exposure to learning management systems (LMSs) and learning experience platforms (LXPs).
