Our Client is a leading provider of online foreign exchange (forex) trading platform and other related services offered to retail and institutional customers worldwide. It is a publicly traded company on NASDAQ. The office in Sofia currently employs around 100 people in the following departments: General and Institutional Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, Accounting, IT and Product Development.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst with strong analytical and technical skills to work on a range of projects in the Finance Department. This is a unique role that offers growth and knowledge opportunities in both business and technical aspects. In addition, it offers an opportunity to get involved in all facets of the Company’s business. The Analyst will have responsibility of performing data analysis, the design and implementation of analytical processes, and deployment of operational and financial reports that support evaluation of financial performance and drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst is a critical role within the Finance Department responsible for data management, developing, running, and analyzing the Company’s data and communicating findings with various departments, including sales, accounting, compliance, dealing, and operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Perform a range of financial and operational analysis in support of internal operations and external activities
- Design, prepare, and distribute periodic analytics reports
- Assist on and own ad-hoc requests for internal departments, management, and regulators
- Build financial models forecasting business profitability
- Implement data analysis process improvements and automation
- Help improve and maintain databases that are utilized for reporting

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant Analyst role
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries (T-SQL preferred); Oracle SQL; MySQL
- Experience/understanding of ETL processes (SSIS experience preferred), relational databases, and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
- R and/or Python a plus
- Experience developing routine and ad hoc financial and management reports
- Strong research skills; analytical and problem solving skills; and attention to detail
- Ability to learn and understand complex financial products and system architecture, including accounting and business processes
- Self-motivation, ability to work with other departments, and the capacity to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to explain complex issues and processes clearly and concisely to audiences of varying technical and accounting knowledge
- Experience working in Financial Services industry preferred
- University degree in Finance/Mathematics related subjects preferred, Master’s degree a plus
