Job Description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Machine Learning Engineer to join the EMEA Analytics Product Development Team to support the development and roll out in new regions of Webdata Insight product, our service for assessment of small and medium-sized enterprises using alternative data.

What you'll be doing:

· Productionize newly developed ML models bringing them from an algorithm to a live, cloud-hosted solution
· Work in collaboration with the Data Scientists in the team on new ML models implementation and testing
· Ensure the Webdata Insight service is monitored addressing any identified issues
· Automate repetitive tasks and processes pushing leaving time for the truly challenging tasks and activities
· Work on PoCs for potential clients of Webdata Insight product
· Onboarding of new clients and support of the service in production
· Investigate complex production issues, recreating problems and utilizing trace files & error diagnostics. Identify root cause and propose solutions

Qualifications

What you are expected to bring:

· 2+ years of working knowledge in Python – preferably both Python’s own syntax but also some of its main analytical packages (such as Pandas, Numpy, scikit-learn)
· Good knowledge of OOP principles, data structures, algorithms & design patterns
· Knowledge in container-based deployment technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
· Flexible and adaptable to learn and understand new technologies
· A keen eye for detail, good at spotting problems and quickly proposing solutions
· Strong verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English)

Any of the following abilities and skills will be considered an advantage:

· Knowledge of good software development practices (Test-driven Development, Clean Code, Refactoring, etc.)
· Experience with Apigee for APIs management
· Experience with AWS Serverless products (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3)
· Knowledge and appreciation of agile development methodologies and techniques
· Basic knowledge of statistics and of measures used for evaluating performance of Machine Learning models, such as precision, recall, etc.
· Experience with CI/CD process development
