Description of the Business line


The Operational Division groups the activities that lead change and/or that intervene in support of the operational activities. It is in charge of the support functions, providing the resources for the business of the banking group, as follows: organization of the business process and change management; implementation of new products; operations (payments by any means and operations with securities); back office market; cash and support; management of the IT system; logical security.

Brief description of the position

As a member of the management board the COO will be responsible for the strategic and tactical management of the departments in the operational division. The COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, participates in the decision making processes and contributes in achieving the long term company’s goals.

Summary of the Key Purposes of the role

Directs the development, implementation and application of strategies, policies and processes, related to all activities in the assigned division.
Responsible for the management of budget for operational and capital expenses within the division.
Responsible for achieving mid and long term goals of the division.
Directs the proper management and follow up of Bank’s project portfolio.
Directs and closely monitor the implementation of the specific IT strategy within the bank.
Takes part in all management bodies related to the activities in the division.
Fosters organizational culture that reflects the leadership model of the group and encourages performance.

Professional experience and competencies required

At least 7 years of managerial experience within a transversal function in an international company in the field of financial services.
Solid background in banking information, technology and operations.
Implementation of ISO and ITIL processes in banks.
Practical experience in Oracle, MongoDB and SQL.
Project Management experience.
Good understanding of local compliance provisions.

Education and qualifications required

Master degree in the area business or finance, preferably a Finance management.
Professional qualification in computer sciences.
Proficiency in English - IELTS or other relevant certificate in English are considered as an advantage. Command in Slavic language is a plus.
ISACA and CISA certificates.

Skills and personal qualities required

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact and communicate convincingly at all levels with the key decision makers in a variety of business lines, management and control functions across the bank.
Ability to work independently on multiple conflicting priorities and under pressure until completion.
Strong senior stakeholder management skills and ability to develop relationships based on trust and professionalism.
Strong analytical skills, an aptitude for numbers with excellent attention to detail
and capability to prioritize and organize
Solution-focused, service-oriented and proactive; Team player, proactively shares information and collaborates with others, demonstrating exemplary professional conduct.
