Position Title: Commercial Assurance Specialist


The Commercial Assurance Team performs a vital role in the success of the commercial model, taking responsibility for ensuring all contractual agreements are accurately translated into billing schedules, thereby ensuring accurate billing across the UK&I business.
It is the responsibility of the team to facilitate accurate client billing by translating contractual agreements into robust billing schedules for new contracts, as well as monitoring and maintaining the schedules for existing contracts to ensure continued ‘right-first-time’ billing. Rapid detection and resolution of pricing and billing issues is of key importance, using strong relationships with the UK Service and Billing team to ensure we have robust processes and controls to govern the billing process.
An effective Commercial Assurance Team prevents loss of revenue for the UK&I business as well as facilitating excellent customer service by reducing credit notes and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing. By liaising with the Strategic Pricing Team, Commercial Assurance will also be able to provide a key data feed into the benchmarking and contract pricing database, which further strengthens Strategic Pricing’s capability to support the UK&I’s bid support process.

Responsibilities:
• Create billing invoicing that is aligned to the terms of client contracts, system capabilities;
• Ensure accurate being information is provided to Service & Billing for update of the billing system
• Ensure Commercial Assurance Team Database is kept up to date with contract changes, new client agreements and expired accounts
• Monitor client product usage
• Amend existing invoicing schedules in line with changes to contractual agreements.
• Provide detailed and accurate regular and ad-hoc reporting as per management needs.
• Review existing processes to improve accuracy, alignment and efficiency of billing practices across the business.
• Work with cross-functional teams in resolving billing and revenue related issues.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Support Commercial Assurance analysts in their tasks as per management guidance.
• Use intuition and investigative analysis to identify opportunities for billing process improvements and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Complete day to day actives and ad-hoc tasks assigned required for the successful team performance and completion of team plan.
• Actively contribute to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business. Take personal responsibility to ensure that you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of our customers.

Requirements:
• Experience of working under pressures to tight deadlines.
• Experience of investigating and interpreting deviations from expected financial outcomes.
• Fluency in English.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access skills.
• Excellent numerical skills.
• Strong communicator.
• An appetite for problem solving and process improvements.
• An inquisitive and analytical mind.
