We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join Experian Global Finance Services. Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisationss by SSON analytics, we are an organisation committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

Position Title: Experienced Financial Accountant

The EMEA Accounting and Control Team has responsibility for the financial accounting and regulatory compliance for the legal entities within the EMEA region with a strong focus on ensuring an effective internal control and governance framework is in place. The team has responsibility over the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheets for each entity and oversees a wide variety of financial processes including revenue recognition, revenue assurance, cash-flow management, Group reporting, IFRS accounting, local GAAP and statutory accounting, management of external audits, indirect and direct taxes.

Members of the team work very closely with the local country Finance Directors, local and central FP&A and Business Partnering teams as well as the Shared Service Centres.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to the delivery of month/year end close activities, mainly in the Revenue recognition area by:
Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS
Ensuring consistent financial data quality
Provide cover for all revenue activities (recognition, accrued and deferred balances, bad debt provisioning) during month-end for one of the markets in the EMEA region
Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across all aspects of the financial processes and standardisation across all revenue activities
Understand business performance and forecast operating cash flows in relation to EMEA markets revenue base
Advise on complex sales contracts and the revenue recognition of such contracts
Ad-hoc tasks and projects to support manager, team and business
Requirements:
At least 3 year of experience of general financial accounting in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant numerate science
ACCA/CIMA qualification will be considered an advantage
Strong stakeholder management skill
Highly logical, numerate individual with an unfaltering attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Excel
Good understanding of financial management information
Analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and spoken English
