Position Title: Financial Analyst, Commercial strategy

We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join Experian Global Finance Services. Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisationss by SSON analytics, we are an organisation committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

The Commercial Strategy Financial Analyst is responsible for producing accurate and insightful management reporting and analysis for the Commercial Strategy function as well as supporting the annual planning cycle. This role works closely with the Commercial Strategy Finance Director and the Finance Business Partners in the UK as well as key business stakeholders across EMEA.
Responsibilities:

Manage the Commercial P&L through understanding month-end actuals and forecast variances and agree actions to be taken including updating forecast.
Work with HR team and the Commercial Finance Director to produce monthly headcount forecast
Support the Marketing function in managing marketing OPEX costs through reconciling month-end actuals to plan, approve Marketing PO’s and perform ROI analysis
Use EMEA travel reporting to create a Commercial travel report for the key stakeholders
Work with the relevant business stakeholders and finance teams to produce KPI reporting for each of the functional teams
Produce monthly management reporting – both for the Commercial function and EMEA management team
Support Commercial Strategy functions with management information (MI) reporting, ad-hoc analysis to support strategic business decisions

The successful candidate will have:

University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant numerate science
Qualified or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
At least 2 years experience working in a fast-paced Finance Department with relevant in-role work experience
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail – able to produce accurate MI right first time
Strong Excel skills and experience of with PowerPoint
Great organisational skills - able to work to deadlines while working with multiple stakeholders
Able to work in a complex, fast paced environment
Fluent English
