Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst

We are looking for a new colleague to join Experian Global Finance Services (GFS). Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisations by SSON analytics, we are committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

The primary objective of the Senior Financial Analyst role is to provide the UK and EMEA regions with support across financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information. The role will be managing and owning core processes and their output, identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role will have exposure to and support various financial and business stakeholders in an independent manner acting as a point of contact and coordinator of financial information.

Responsibilities:
Managing month-end process;
Manage MMC process;
Provide variance analysis and commentary;
Provide projects tracking and approvals up to pre-agreed limits;
Act as a main point of contact and support to internal and external finance and/or business partners, tax and audit consultants;
Work independently and proactively with constant focus on accuracy, quality and deadlines management;
Coach and provide guidance to junior team members to support their development;
Being proactive in identifying and flagging potential issues before they arise;
Provide guidance and support on key processes along with solutions to address improvements to the processes; Exercise governance and control of processes and deliverables;
Act as a reliable partner by providing support on governance to finance partners and functional operations in line with the target operating model of the function;
Drive value add delivery to internal and external stakeholders;
Review of pre-defined (monthly, quarterly and annual) and ad hoc management information reports, ensuring work is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Scrutiny and alignment of data from a variety of sources to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting;
Assembling, analysing and reporting financial information in response to requests from the wider finance function and the business;
Providing the business with accurate views of its financial performance, with insight and commentary as necessary. Ensure transparency to internal and external stakeholders and report on key KPIs.

Requirements:
At least 5 year of experience of planning, analysis and reporting experience in a multinational business environment in accordance with IFRS;
University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant numerate science;
ACCA/CIMA qualification will be considered an advantage;
Ability to present ideas and opinions with enthusiasm and credibility;
Strong Excel and data manipulation skills;
Highly logical, numerate with an unfaltering attention to detail
Logical thinker with the ability to turn complex inputs into simplified outputs
Flexible and amenable mind-set, comfortable with ambiguity
Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team
Good understanding of financial management information principles and terminology
Good communication skills
Fluent English
