UNIX Business Applications Administrator (II Level Support)

We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our “UNIX IT Production” team at the position of Business Applications Administrator (II Level Support).


YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
■ Analysis of system logs and identification of potential issues with the business software and systems.
■ Provides analysis of event messages from automatic monitoring systems.
■ Checks the successful execution of configured scheduled tasks, jobs and functionalities.
■ Ensures timely and adequate support by solving incidents and executing requests for change or service requests, including:
- access and security management - user creation/roles/rights
- application installation, reconfiguration and updates
- optimisation and tuning
- creation or modification of DB objects and data.
■ Performs after working hours on-call escalation and support.
■ Supports the installation of updates and patches of the business software and systems.
■ Introduces and integrates new releases of business applications.


REQUIREMENTS:
■ Experience with administering and supporting business applications.
■ Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related field.
■ Basic knowledge of operating systems and experience with Linux OS.
■ Experience with PL/SQL scripting, Bash scripting.
■ Familiar with installation and configuration of Apache/Tomcat.
■ Commitment and self-initiative, team spirit, flexibility and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
