We are looking for Junior Financial Accountant to join Experian Global Finance Services (GFS). Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisations by SSON analytics, we are an organisation committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

Position Title: Junior Financial Accountant

The Junior Financial Accountant will provide support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information. The person on the role will work closely with an EMEA business unit and will be directly engaged with finance and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the delivery of month/year end close activities by:
Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS
Ensuring consistent financial data quality
Owning selected balance sheet accounts and providing detailed, complete and informative balance sheet reconciliations/analysis
Working closely and effectively with other Experian GFS centers
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements in the local market in cooperation with external consultants
Analysis of transactional data to understand the key performance drivers of the businesses and translation of these trends into a tangible future impact on the business

Requirements:

University degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit
1-2 year of experience of general financial accounting in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
Good understanding of financial management information
Good stakeholder management skill
Ability to be proactive and work independently
Technical accounting skills and proficiency with Excel
Highly logical, numerate individual with an unfaltering attention to detail
Excellent written and spoken English
