Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

The main responsibilities of the Cost & Payroll Accountant is to support a wide range of cost related processes for the Denmark and Norway. This role provides a great opportunity to gain international experience in a global company. The role will gain experience in working with remote stakeholders and GFS abroad. It is possible to grow in the role and gain further responsibilities in future – both locally and in EMEA region

Position Title: Cost and Payroll Accountant, maternity cover

Responsibilities:
Supporting the month–end close processes and internal cost reporting Responsible for labour/payroll cost in the Nordics
Be first point of contact for external payroll providers
Run spend analysis and vendor analysis for cost milestone planning in Nordics and for stakeholders in the Nordic business
Work closely and effectively with the local FP&A and Accounting teams and financial professionals within the markets
Support the annual audit process
Ad-hoc tasks and projects to support manager, team and business
Participate in the implementation of new processes to improve internal control environment and/or save time and resources on EMEA level
Take active part in the implementation and maintenance of strong and effective internal control and governance framework on EMEA level

Requirements:
At least 2 year experience in financial or payroll accounting in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant numerate science
Strong stakeholder management skills
Familiar with Shared Service Center or Offshoring environment will be considered an advantage
Highly logical, numerate individual with strong attention to details
Technical accounting skills and proficiency with Excel
Good understanding of financial management information and workflow
Advanced written and verbal English
