Reporting to Head of Accounting and Shared Service and with a strong dotted line into the Paysafe Group Controllership team, the successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in developing Paysafe’s shared service accounting & control function, leading key initiatives and building core capabilities. Supporting the global finance shared service strategy and delivery as Paysafe Group finance pivot to and scale for further growth through centralising processes and controls.

This role would suit an individual who has previously worked in a mature shared service environment and has experience of complex transformation as well as proven leadership abilities.

Essential duties:

• Team management and oversight of the Shared Service control & reporting team - 3 heads, as well as the continued development of the operating model
• Overall responsibility for delivery of shared service accounting and reporting in support of BU and Group close.
• Working closely with BUs and Group to provide clear communication, insight and analysis.
• Own transformation and build out of a number of centralised processes, including (but not limited to):
• Accounting for capitalised development costs
• Lease accounting and ownership of leasing tool
• Accounting for transfer pricing and wider intercompany accounting integration
• Inter Co. and transfer pricing entries & reconciliations
• Develop and build statutory & regulatory reporting “hub”
• Statutory financial reporting for entities in Europe reporting under FRS 101/ and IFRS
• Support for corporation tax returns for UK and Bulgarian entities
• Indirect tax and CT returns
• Support model for regulatory financial reporting, such as annual returns
• Support US GAAP financial reporting
• Ownership of key elements of Group control framework, including management & administration of Blackline Acc Reconciliation reporting,
• Support Group initiatives to improve control environment, including developing a finance assurance function and capabilities and lead and drive financial control mind set in Sofia.

Your Profile:

• Qualified ACCA or equivalent
• Robust knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• Significant PQE exposure, with experience of complex change through a leadership role in a large organisation
• People focused leader with strong interpersonal skills and demonstratable ability to motivate, lead and support teams.
• Strong background of improving company’s controls and operating in a mature control environment and ability to drive change across processes and teams.
• Experience leading high performing teams, ideally in a shared service & or outsourcing environment, with excellent record of customer delivery, track record of building strong relationships, working cross functionally with teams across the globe and engaging with and positively influencing key business partners.
• SOX experience would be considered as a benefit
