Chief Accountant

The Role:

You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule;
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures;
• Lead, organize and manage the accounting and reporting activities of the Company
• Manage and coach a team of 6 employees within Finance team;
• Analyze revenues, discount and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis;
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations;
• Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances;
• Leads, organizes and carries out communication with tax and other authorities and institutions;
• Prepares and submit the annual tax declaration;
• Maintaining financial records;
• Prepares reports and analysis as required by the Tax authorities and NSI;
• Participates in different projects and in settling tax and accounting issues;
• Organization and participation in inventory audit;
• Maintains and analyzes the accounting records on a daily basis;
• Provides consulting and tax advisory to the internal clients;
• Oversee the issuance of financial information.

Requirements:

• Relevant university degree (Accounting, Financial or Business Management) ;
• Experience as a Chief Aaccountant (ideally within the Manufacturing industry);
• Excellent communicator, confident in interacting with all levels of individuals across a variety of internal functions (finance and non-finance) and customer groups;
• Good knowledge on Bulgarian and International Accounting Standards;
• Fluent English – both written and spoken;
• Thinking outside the box;
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
• High computer skills and high planning skills.
