In response to our dynamic development the company is looking to hire a highly motivated professional for the position of Data Scientist and Innovation Officer.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Prepares and analyzes data for model development
Researches new data sources and structures the capturing of new data points
Develops statistical models for credit scoring assessment as well as marketing and collection purposes
Documents the output of the main stages of the statistical modelling
Presents to the business the effects of the new scoring model deployment
Monitors the currently deployed scoring models for consistency with the client profile
Closely liaises with the underwriters’ team to ensure the lending process is swift and feedback is quickly incorporated in the approval process
Researches and implements new analytical tools and modelling methodologies
Researches and structures new data points
Participates in new product and business process specifications
Prepares adhoc reports/presentations and portfolio monitoring

REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BSc/MA/MSc degree in a quantitative discipline: computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, economics
2+ years of experience in the field
Proficiency in Excel
Experience in SQL
Experience in WPS, SAS, R, Python or other model development software
Ability to audit and manipulate big datasets
Ability to question and understand results
Attention to detail, logical thinking
Ability to independently research and apply work related upgrades
English language
Team player
