Position Title: GFS Finance Analyst

We are looking for a new colleague to join Experian Global Finance Services (GFS). Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisations by SSON analytics, we are committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.

We’re currently looking for a GFS Finance Analyst to join the Global Finance Services Team. This is a global role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and a varied set of responsibilities.

This analyst role is reporting to the GFS Finance Manager, acting as a Business Partner for the GFS management team through good understanding of their processes to ensure effective financial controlling. He/she will be part of a small team of senior business analysts.

Also, driving GFS stakeholder value by setting and supporting the delivery of the Digital Finance Agenda and the delivery of challenging financial and non-financial targets within an effective and robust financial control environment. Also, supporting the development and maintenance of the medium- and long-term GFS strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Closely support the GFS Leadership team in managing;
Monthly Financials
FP&A controlling requirements – Monthly Forecast, Annual Budget Plan and Strategic Plan
Partnering with GFS senior leaders to help them understand their cost drivers and pro-actively drive and implement business optimisation and efficiencies
Support business partnering activities by ensuring the appropriate level of support is provided to the business across several productivity initiatives (automation) and improvement plans
Identify risk and opportunities and work with the business to deliver cost saving initiatives and to ensure that available funds are directed towards the hardest hitting optimisation initiatives
Promote best practice, and continue with business process improvements and re-engineering to drive efficiency and add value to the business
Key financial processes including month end close, monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, strategic plan, financial control and governance. Responsibility for ensuring month end is performed accurately and effectively in line with divisional policies
Ensure MI processes are efficient and meet stakeholders’ needs and changing environment
Co-ordinate and manage the monthly forecasting, annual budgeting process and strategic plan to ensure key deliverables are met with input from a variety of senior stakeholders (including the senior leadership team and their direct reports)
Operate effectively in a virtual team environment and matrix

Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in a finance function of a multi-national, in increasingly responsible positions
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and/or CFA with a demonstrable post-qualified experience
Qualified Yellow Belt LSS
Presence, gravitas and ability to influence senior stakeholders
Adaptability to change and proven track record of working in and responding positively to a fast paced, matrix organisation
Excellent analytical, financial modelling and problem solving skills, an unfaltering attention to detail and is highly logical and numerate
Strong drive to understand the financial drivers of a business
Proven ability to present ideas and opinions in a collaborative, credible and influential manner and to make financial information simple and insightful for finance and non-finance decision makers
A continuous improvement mind-set
Strong knowledge and understanding of technical accounting issues – e.g. capex
English fluent
