Reporting to Head of Group Reporting and Corporate Accounting and working closely with the wider Group Finance team based in London, the successful candidate based in Sofia will be expected to take charge of the accounting, reporting and financial controls for the Corporate UK-based Paysafe entities. The role will assume day to day ownership of month-end close, preparation of financial statements and variance analysis.

Your key responsibilities:
Manage a team of five accountants
Oversee the month-end process and ensure all activities on the month-end checklist are performed
Prepare annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP
Review of P&L variances and BS balances
Preparation and maintenance of a detailed accrual spreadsheet
Review and sign off all BS reconciliations in accordance with Paysafe’s procedures.
Responsibility for the timely completion of various monthly, quarterly and annual incl. BS Analytical Reviews, Capex templates, Exceptional costs report, Quarterly Analytical Reviews, BU P&L variances
Act as a control owner for several key controls in a SOx environment
Take responsibility of lease accounting across the Group
Ensure all intercompany recharges have been issued and transfer pricing model calculation reviewed
Day-to-day involvement in PTP process, such as Purchase Orders approvals
Participate in various projects for system improvements and automation.

Your qualification:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
At least 5 years’ experience in a commercial or audit environment
Experience in leading a team
Fluent English
Strong IFRS knowledge
US GAAP knowledge desirable
Experience with Oracle EBS considered an advantage
Close attention to detail is essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Can-do positive mindset
Able to work in a dynamic environment
Fast ad-hoc learner with high levels of flexibility and adaptability to change
