Essential Duties:

• Oversee and manage operational support on all aspects of Deposit Chargebacks
• Act as the subject matter expert and central point of contact for the deposit chargebacks team
• Appropriate escalation of bad debt incidents relating to Deposit Chargebacks to Manager
• Ensure streamlined approach is implemented and maintained across both digital wallets
• Cross-train all team members to work at a high standard on both digital wallets
• Ensure adequate processes in place to identify risks and make recommendations to effectively manage and enhance recovery of bad debt relating to Deposit Chargebacks
• Assist in projects involving the Deposit Chargebacks team, representing the wider Risk team when required
• Recommend well-considered decisions on behalf of the team to ensure effective management
• Oversee and manage the investigation of potential technical issues which could result in a loss of representing rights
• Liaise with internal teams to address and reduce bad debt caused by system issues and manual processing errors relating to Deposit Chargebacks
• Review fraud trends on card deposits and recommend changes to prevent future potential losses
• Maintain a sound understanding of the bad debt contributors in relation to card deposits
• Ensure accurate management reporting on Deposit Chargebacks
• Enhance automation of current processes through the acquisition of new technologies or improvements to current technologies
• Establish and maintain effective communication networks with key stakeholders, business partners and peers.
• Carry out monthly one-one’s with all team members
• Carry out bi-annual and annual people reviews, setting appropriate yearly objectives
• Approve holiday requests, ensuring business needs continue to be met throughout periods of team absence
• Ensure accurate record all holiday’s and sickness are maintained at all times

Your Profile:

• 5 years of experience in the Chargeback area
• Experience in leading a team
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or similar area
• Experience within the Financial Services or Card industry would be an advantage
• Imperative that the person is a Team player
• Fluent in English is a pre-requisite
• Proficient MS Office, particularly Excel
• Proactive attitude, self-motivation
• Analytical skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility
• International mindset
