Our client is a leading fintech company providing smart current accounts for sole traders and small companies with offices in the UK, Bulgaria & India. Their engineering center in Sofia is rapidly growing with over 220 employees nowadays. The company is labeled as one of the fastest-growing fintech scale-ups in the UK. They are now expanding their collections department in Sofia and are now looking for an experienced:

B2B Collections Expert

Responsibilities:

⦁ Liaising with customers daily by chat & email, in order to maximize collection percentage and taking the relevant action within agreed time-scales
⦁ Providing essential support which enables the entire Collections team to accurately monitor the Credit portfolio across a vast array of products
⦁ Managing arrears in line with the Collections Policy
⦁ Ensuring compliance of all applicable FCA regulations, Data Protection and Money Laundering legislation and the company’s Lending Standards
⦁ Updating corresponding logs and reports, be diligent and document actions and decisions
⦁ Producing reports that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
⦁ Working with and building relationships with external partners; Debt Collection Agencies, Solicitors, Insolvency Practitioners and courts
⦁ Working with the overall Credit team to identify and piloting opportunities to improve strategies and processes
⦁ Being a stakeholder for product improvement within the Collections domain

Requirements:

⦁ Bachelor's degree in law, finance or other business related discipline
⦁ At least 2 years of working experience in a B2B collections role, engaging directly with debtors, and covering the whole collection cycle (not only credit control)
⦁ Previous experience in a Debt Collection Agency, law firm, Insolvency Practitioner or a Fintech
⦁ Experience in collecting business to business debt and not just consumer debt
⦁ Previous international experience is a plus
⦁ Ability to manage a busy workload and identify key objectives
⦁ Strong negotiation and reasoning skills
⦁ Fluent English
