Chief Accountant



The Role:

You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.



Key responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
Lead, organize and manage the accounting and reporting activities of the Company
Manage and coach a team of 8 accountants
Analyze revenues, discount and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
Leads, organizes and carries out communication with tax and other authorities and institutions
Prepares and submit the annual tax declaration
Maintaining financial records
Prepares reports and analysis as required by the Tax authorities and NSI
Participates in different projects and in settling tax and accounting issues
Organization and participation in inventory audit
Maintains and analyzes the accounting records on a daily basis
Provides consulting and tax advisory to the internal clients
Oversee the issuance of financial information

Requirements:

Relevant university education
Experience as a Chief Accountant is mandatory - preferrably in the financial sector;
Good knowledge on Bulgarian and International Accounting Standards;
Fluent English
Resilient, positive minded, with a growth mindset
