The Opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Experian’s Data Data Management team which is responsible for the governance, integration, alignment, availability, standards and quality of key data in the corporate data lake. The Enterprise Data Management team supports major complex programmes and projects to drive the integration of significant critical data across all major enterprise systems, working closely with Global Finance Digital Intelligence, Global Sales Operations, Global Corporate Systems & Services (GCSS) and other cross-functional teams, as needed, to identify, define, align & integrate new data sources and capabilities, manage security and availability and maintain data governance, quality, standards critical to successful delivery of Global Business Intelligence requirements.

The team Enterprise Data Management team consolidates existing specialists and data management resources to provide greater focus, standardisation and alignment of critical data which underpins our digital vision for the future. Under the leadership of the VP of Enterprise Data Strategy & Management, the team will be responsible for managing, coordinating and maintaining critical master data and other data related to customers, products, vendors, chart of accounts and other finance data elements as well as managing the quality and integrity of the content of the Enterprise Data Lake which forms the basis of our enterprise business intelligence, analysis, insights and reporting.



Role Summary:

We power fact-based decision making by providing data curated datasets in the data lake to continuously improve our business. The Business Analyst will play a key role in defining, creating, and delivering powerful interactions data for a substantial part of our business and will partner closely with multiple business partners to provide data and insights to drive operational improvements.

This is a critical role that will enable and support our global data and business intelligence strategy.

You will be able to embrace and drive change and to lead global cross-functional data-related projects as well as being data savvy, technically minded and capable of quickly gaining a deep knowledge and understanding of Experian’s wide-ranging systems landscape aa well as continually evolving complex data hierarchies, reporting structures and business intelligence requirements and priorities.


Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with internal stakeholders on their data needs and data related requests. Work with the businesses and document their requirements and translate to a technical verbiage for IT to implement.
Own the documentation and sign off of business requirements to ingest and curate data in the data lake
Ensure that data in data lake is accurate and trustworthy – ensure processes, validation and automation is in place
Establishes, documents, and monitors clear data governance and data standards to ensure the standardisation, integrity, and quality of the data contained therein.
Reviews and updates all data standards periodically as needed
Establishes metrics/KPIs to monitor data quality and usage and proactively initiates actions to permanently resolve any identified issues.
Collaborates with GFS and functional stakeholders on new or changing master data requirements, providing expertise and guidance in the appropriate and optimal way to integrate the necessary data sources to achieve the desired business requirements.
Collaborate with the Digital Intelligence teams to develop standard data tracking and reporting for the R&A organization and ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.
Partners with Global Corporate Systems and Services (GCSS) to develop efficient and effective integration of new and incremental data sources into the Enterprise Data Lake, ensuring adequate testing and sign-off and initiating actions to ensure that any data is thoroughly cleansed/corrected before allowing it to be integrated into the Enterprise Data Lake.
Manages / engages in data related projects and changes that impact the Enterprise Data Lake, including but not limited to: Acquisition integration, Divestments, Data migration, Changes to Financial Reporting Standards and other compliance requirements, Implementation of new systems or roll-out of existing systems across new geographies/business lines, Changes to data requirements triggered by internal or external factors and organisational changes, Restructuring

Qualifications
More about you:

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, computer science, engineering or similar
Experience: 3+ years of business experience involving analysis of large volumes of data with strong hands-on experience. Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, identify and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data
Collaboration: Strong collaboration and influencing skills in highly matrixed environment, with a mission of creating consistent processes and documentation
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication as well as the ability to work independently. Experience communicating technical complexities clearly and concisely.
