Required personal and professional skills:

• MA education level, mechanical, electrical engineering, applied physics, or materials science;
• BA education level, mechanical or electrical engineering or applied physics with 5 – 10 years relevant experience.
• Experience in the area of product design or R&D.
• Personal experience and knowledge of the technological process, production equipment, quality management and economizing in this field;
• Knowledge and skills in the field of the following materials: glass, ceramics, high temperature processes, precious and non-ferrous metals and alloys, polymers and solvents;
• Knowledge and experience in leading Six Sigma and Lean initiatives including practical knowledge of their deployment;
• Proven ability to manage complex and significant group wide projects;
• Knowledge of the quality standards; such as ISO/ TS 16949, ISO 14001 and others;
• Project management skills;
• Change management skills – ability to plan and implement major change activities;
• Ability to design and deliver a broad range of process related training and educational material;
• Knowledge of English at Pre-Intermediate Business Level – written and spoken;
• Good communication, organization, initiative, responsibility taking skills;
• Organization and self-motivation skills;
• Strong leadership skills;
• Good communication skills, written and verbally, in Bulgarian and English language;
• Team player, able to work in multidisciplinary project teams;
• Knowledge of MS-Office software (Word, Windows, Excel and Outlook);
• Prepared to work abroad on a regular basis.


Main duties and responsibilities:

• To supervise the design team of open/closed sensors, respectively;
• Works in project teams on design of sensors;
• Is co-responsible for progress of the project;
• Stays in contact with customers and suppliers on a regular basis;
• To lead, participate or support Six Sigma, continuous improvement or cost reduction projects;
• To drive changes in the organization – process, cultural, etc.;
• Manage development programs and coordinate resources internally across the organization and with external suppliers or customers;
• Manage various aspects of Engineering projects, including product prototyping, product and process development, pilot production and SOP transfer activities.
• To prepare management review reports on a regular basis about the projects in charge;
• To participate in the installation, trial run and commissioning of new machines and equipment;
• To inform the Safety at work and Environment Responsible when implementing operations/ processes/ materials, which can have an unfavorable impact on the environment;
• To propose ideas for work stations organization optimization;
• To propose ideas for technological documentation improvement;
• To liaise with customers on technical and technological questions referring to the environment;
• To fulfil his/her working duties in accordance with the company policy, objectives and targets;
• To know the company’s quality and environmental policy and environmental standards.
