The SaaS DevOps Support Engineer will manage and operate cutting edge SaaS delivered solutions in a complex multi-layer enterprise environments. He/she will provide high level (Tier3) technical support and guidance to HPE SaaS customers and internal teams around the world. The SaaS support engineer will work closely and effectively with a worldwide team of engineers, and collaborate with R&D and Product teams, to assist our international customer base in taking advantage of their SaaS based solutions.


Job specifics/responsibilities:

•Responsible for managing HPE SaaS solutions across multiple environments and data centers.

•Managing and supporting staging and production farms including customer instances.

•Troubleshoot availability, performance and functional issues, patch upgrades, major upgrades, customer migrations.

•Implement new monitoring capabilities to achieve full visibility on production environment.

•Performing maintenance activities.

•Production changes and incident management.

•Support application issues and collaborate with other teams within SaaS, to provide acceptable workarounds / solutions.

•Service Request fulfillment and tailoring.

•Be the voice of the customer, by providing feedback to Product/R&D teams related to functionality/usability issues.

•Assist customers in setup and configuration, of existing/new product functionalities.

•Classify product issues, and report relevant bugs to R&D.

•Document, manage and maintain product knowledge received from R&D.

•Ensure SaaS standards are in place.


Requirements:

•Bachelor degree in computer sciences / technology.

•At least 2 year experience with maintaining and supporting web based applications.

•At least 2 year experience in a technical customer facing role (internal/external)

•Excellent written/spoken English.

•Linux practical knowledge (e.g. Familiar with Linux command line)

•Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle)

•Knowledge and understanding of networking (Firewall, Load balancer, DNS)

•Knowledge of web applications, SaaS based applications, basic configurations and troubleshooting client side issues.

•Agile development environment knowledge and/or experience

•Server experience with Windows Unix and Linux(highly desired).

•QA/Testing skills are desired.

•Knowledge of good practices in a scalable and highly available infrastructure

•Experience with APIs, XML, Jenkins are nice to have

•Knowledge of Java - nice to have

•Working on a multi-layer enterprise application.

•Ability to analyze and debug complex systems and integrations.

•Excellent customer facing communication skills.

•A fast self-learner, team player and ability to adapt to a changing application/platform.

•Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

•Knowledge in monitoring and instrumenting mobile and web applications, and other monitoring tools (Site scope preferred).
