General duties:
System analysis and design:

Conduct thorough analysis of existing banking systems and processes.
Identify areas for improvement and design solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Develop system specifications, flowcharts, and diagrams to illustrate system architecture.
Requirements gathering:

Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and management, to gather and document system requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications.
System implementation:

Oversee the implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems.
Conduct testing and validation to ensure systems meet requirements and function correctly.
Technical support:

Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for banking systems.
Address and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
Regulatory compliance:

Ensure that banking systems comply with industry regulations and standards.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, specifications, and operational procedures.
Prepare user manuals and conduct training sessions for end-users.
Requirements:
Technical proficiency:

Proficient in system analysis and design methodologies.
Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), SQL, and other query languages.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
Familiarity with banking technology and systems like payments, cards, and core banking systems.
Industry knowledge:

Understanding of banking operations, financial products, and services.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Analytical skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Good to have skills:

Project management:

Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Advanced technical skills:

Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Experience with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Tableau).
Certifications:

Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
Preferred educational qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s Degree:

A master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Continuing Education:
