For one of our clients, an international manufacturing company, we are currently looking for:

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

The Role:

- Improvement of supplier quality from source;
- Supplier auditing, selection and approval;
- Responsible for issues within the goods inward inspection area;
- Reporting non-conformance to the supplier and raise concessions related to supplier product;
- Inspection of FAIR materials and feedback to suppliers and/or engineering in order to progress to receipt of conforming product;
- Define Inspection criteria and update internal and external documentation;
- Work with HQ’s Quality team to merge the two systems and ensure consistency throughout both sites;
- Generate Quality Plans where required and be active in all department projects;
- Complete a tooling audit of equipment to include asset numbers and details of any pending refurbishment/maintenance planning;
- Team member in Inventory reduction projects.


We expect:

- University degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering or similar;
- Experience in manufacturing industry – at least 2 years;
- Excellent written and spoken English;
- Ability to read technical drawings;
- Experience of updating and maintaining Quality Systems;
- Understanding and being able to draft/implement a Quality Plan;
- Ability to define and draft work instructions;
- Driving licence and be willing to travel;
- Experience of liaising with an external supply base successfully;
- Experience of supplier negotiation and development of suppliers.
- Possess the character and confidence to robustly challenge our suppliers on a technical basis
