For a client of ours - New Automotive Production Investor Company, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer.

Description and requirements:
As a key member of the Core engineering team, you will be responsible for Mechanical design considering design constraints (plastic tooling and injection, other related parts, etc…) and customer expectations on dedicated projects.
Working in a design team and technical solution approaches expected linked to other design disciplines (optics, electronic, thermal, etc…)
This position is responsible for mechanical design, developing and modifying products and accessories for automotive exterior lamps.
Provide mechanical designs, drawings and/or solid models to both external sources and internal sources to support Regional Product Management needs.
Key Qualifications:

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering
Minimum 2 years experience with plastic part design and assembly (more experiences are preferable)
Fluency of English; 2nd language German preferable
Good knowledge of 3D modeling in CATIA (solid and surface design)
Teamwork skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Description:

Primarily utilize AutoCAD software to perform applicable mechanical component design, layout and detail drafting work.
Works on projects under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, Product Managers, Project Engineers and/or Senior Designers as required.
Design accessories.
Originate mechanical designs, conduct calculations in stress analysis, evaluate material selection, prepare sketches and conceptual drawings, and develop bills of materials and other related engineering data for construction of prototype equipment.
Create or edit manufacturing drawings and/or solid models, electrical schematic drawings, wiring diagrams and layouts for engineering projects.
Work closely with Engineering and other departments to analyze projects for manufacturability.
Check component and assembly drawings of other department personnel as needed.
Conduct necessary investigations relative to designs based on internal and customer requirements.
Create catalog drawing files for products and accessories.
Ability to work as needed to meet project deadlines.
