Who are we:

WALLTOPIA is the world leader in the manufacturing of climbing walls. We operate in 50 countries on 6 continents and we have 19 years of professional experience.

We are expanding into the Active Entertainment sector and that is why we are now looking for a Simulation Engineer to join our Rollglider team in Sofia. Our ideal candidate has experience performing finite element analysis and/or multibody dynamics simulations, and has a solid understanding of mathematics, mechanics, physics, strength of materials, among others.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs multibody dynamics simulations and static finite element simulations in relation to our Rollglider product line;
Performs post-processing of the simulation results as required (stresses and deformations; velocity and acceleration profiles; reaction and connector forces, etc.)
Interprets the simulation results and advises on course of action based on them;
Prepares verification reports and documents the simulation set up process, assumptions and results;
Participates in the certification process of our products by performing verification studies to establish compliance with applicable regulations;
Organizes physical testing to validate simulation results;
Creates the procedures and manuals how the simulations are to be performed;
Actively communicates with the production facility and partner companies and organizations.

CORE SKILLS REQUIRED:

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar creative Engineering discipline;
Solid theoretical knowledge in the basic engineering subjects – mathematics, mechanics, kinematics, dynamics, physics, strength of materials
Sound understanding of the theory behind FEA – types of finite elements, boundary conditions, meshing, contacts; limitations of the method and the underlying assumptions
Have knowledge and experience of virtual testing with finite element analysis (COSMOS, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, among others), and/or multibody dynamics;
Experience in the design, forward and reverse engineering of new engineering-based products;
Expertise in 3D machine design in CAD Software environment (preferably SolidWorks);
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
Excellent communication skills;
Proactive and responsible personality.
