The Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) is responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards. The CQCM role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process and working with other in-house personnel (e.g.: Project Managers, Project Coordinators etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.

Specific Areas of Responsibility:

• Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site;
• Review client QC requirements and ensure that quality control documentation for a project meets contractual requirements;
• Cary out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan;
• Report to the QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality Management System, QMS;
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction, SI. Establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality awareness throughout the various departments;
• Builds relationships internally with department managers and technical team leaders;
• Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations. Work with the Project Manager(s) to create current and relevant quality control measures and project specific requirements;
• Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project;
• Supports the construction roles in the management and control of subcontractors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent is preferred;
• Minimum of three(3) years of experience of progressive responsibility in quality control positions;
• Applicable certifications in Quality, ASQ and ISO Auditor, and Construction preferred;
• Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods and techniques;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Experience in developing and reviewing project qality plans, contract documents and project specifications;
• Self-motivated with good communication skills;
• Management experience preferred.
