Currently, we are looking to employ a MECHANICAL DESIGNER.Main Deliverables:
• Design of mechanical products and validation of mechanical technical choices;
• Participate during the feasibility study of new products;
• Design and develop products respecting customer specifications and the development rules;
• Perform DFMEA and risk analysis for new products;
• Conduct engineering analysis, sizing, calculations, and materials selection;
• Work in close collaboration with the toolmakers for achieving best manufacturability of the product;
• Document the results of the designed products;
• Collaborate with the customer for achieving technical added value, respecting project rules set by the Project Leader;
• Work closely with company production plants at the beginning of the development (process engineer, test engineer, project leader) to assure a smooth transfer of the product to the plant at the end of the development;
• Give approval of the developed products in his/her area of expertise;
Requirements:
• University degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant;
• Excellent knowledge of design and development processes with a focus on plastic 3D modeling;
• PTC Creo and/or CATIA V5 software modules: 3D modeling, drafting, and automotive product design experience;
• Basic knowledge of thermal, mechanical and magnetic simulations - Ansys;
• Very good knowledge of plastic materials choice;
• Deep understanding of the plastic manufacturing process;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Good computer skills (general purpose and specialized software);
• Knowledge of English at Upper Intermediate Business Level.
• Strong communication and analytical skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks;
• Team player.
