We are looking for: Advanced Buyer – D&D

Purpose of the job:
• Act as advanced buyer for all internal D&D and customer-initiated projects, including handling of all procurement needs in the department

Main duties and responsibilities:
• Manage all mass production BOM quotations in which D&D dept. is involved respecting the group purchasing strategy;
• Develop the prototype supplier network;
• Prepare quotations for prototypes and manage the procurement process for the samples;
• Maintain a database with the suppliers’ delivery terms;
• Order equipment and software platforms for D&D dept.; Follow the expiry dates for all items/licenses;
• Prepare the necessary documents and order the necessary materials for the department;
• Analyze and manage the supply of materials;
• Analyze and manage all deliveries from and to the department;
• Collect, process and send to finance department all documents related to the department’s activities;
• Work closely with the project teams to assess the materials used in products and services;
• Organize workshops with suppliers for them to present their new products/technology platforms;
• Identify and inform the Management and the design team about (potential) problems that might have negative impact on the execution of the project;
• Organize shipments from D&D to customers, suppliers, other plants all over the world; Prepare shipment documents (invoices, pro-forma invoice, packing list, AWB);
• Inform the Safety & Environment Coordinator when introducing new materials, operations and processes, which can have impact on the environment.

Required personal and professional skills:
• University Degree – Engineering or Logistics related major;
• Fluent written and spoken English;
• Previous experience in supplier negotiations and logistics is a must;
• Very good knowledge of electronic components/materials used in electronics;
• Advanced user of MS Office – MS Excel and Power Point;
• Detail-oriented and strict with following deadlines;
• Outstanding organizational and data analysis skills;
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
