Solution Architect with Java

Bulpros is a fast-growing European IT Services company established in Sofia, Bulgaria and operating already on many European and global markets. Bulpros is providing the whole spectrum of IT lifecycle services – software development in all core technologies, design and development of web and mobile solutions and applications, IT Infrastructure services with focus on infrastructure consulting for MS technologies and cloud services, customer services.

Bulpros also holds all important industry certificates and is partnering with leading SW and HW vendors such as Microsoft and Cisco. Bulpros is a co-founder of the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association which supports the sharing of best practices within a global network of outsourcing service providers. Our European locations include Germany, USA and Bulgaria.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• create, define, document, and communicate architecture solutions
• make sure everyone is using it, and using it correctly
• make sure that it comes out in stages in a timely way so that the overall organization can make progress before it's complete
• make sure the software and system architectures are in synchronization
• make sure management understands it (to the detail necessary)
• make sure the right modeling is being done, to know that qualities like performance are going to be met
• give input as needed to issues like tool and environment selection
• identify and interact with stakeholders to make sure their needs are being met
• make sure that the architecture is not only the right one for operations, but also for deployment and sustainment
• resolve disputes and make tradeoffs
• resolve technical problems
• maintain morale, both within the architecture group, and externally as well. The latter is done by providing a sound design, when needed, and providing good presentations and materials to let everyone
• understand and plan for evolutionary paths
• plan for new technology insertion
• manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years in programming experience with JAVA
• .NET knowledge is a plus
• 5+ years experience in System Integration, B2B solutions, SOA, XML, Web Services
• 2+ years as a technical solutions architect in a consulting environment, including time supporting sales and managing technical staff and implementations
• At least 2 years experience in software architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments
• Experience in a technical lead role for small or medium size teams
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills
• Strong application software development for one or more of the Linux, UNIX (e.g. Solaris), Windows operating systems. Systems programming or OS internal level skills would be an advantage
• Database Design and Engineering
• Certifications in technologies related to Software Development

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The job holder should possess a University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Systems, Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics or to be a student in the above mentioned disciplines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong English language skills
