Job Summary

This position exists to develop web applications to support and expand an young company's online systems. The developer will be part of a new team that will be mainly responsible for future development of the company’s software in an international environment.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to create and implement a wide variety of web-based products using HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, etc.
• At least 2 years of experience in PHP and JavaScript
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment to develop complex web-based applications and integrate with different APIs (Google, Facebook, Payment systems, etc.)
• Maintaining existing codebase, including troubleshooting bugs and adding new features
• Work quickly within defined timelines and budgets
• Excellent communication skills in English is a must
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to independently organize and prioritize work with limited supervision.
• Experience with responsive layout and frameworks (eg: Bootstrap)
• Knowledge of asset optimization and page speed optimization
• Knowledge of integrating and securing online payment systems (such as Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
• Experience communicating with an API via AJAX.
• Git/SubVersion or other version control experience.
• Experience with the Smarty template engine
