CLIENT/PROJECT DETAILS:
Our client is a computer vision company that developers the hardware and software to do real-time 3D sensing on mobile.
As a first device on the hardware side, the company is creating an ultra-small RGBD sensor using time-of-flight IR technology for depth, similar to Xbox Kinect but as big as a car key.
On the software side, the company is working on algorithms for real-time 3D reconstruction, background subtraction and object recognition for social augmented reality experiences on mobile.
The long-term goal is to create the hardware and software for real-time all-side hologram communication and stream using multiple sensors as content creation tools. The content consumption devices can be either an AR headset or simply a mobile phone.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visual localisation problems with RGB and/or depth cameras (time of flight);
- Implementing visual localisation algorithms and related problems (SfM, SLAM, visual odometry, feature extraction, feature matching, place/face recognition, environment mapping, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience implementing SLAM algorithms (feature extraction, feature matching)
- 3D time of flight reconstruction experience or knowledge (or structured light)
- Fluent in C/C++
- Experience with background subtraction, background restoration, stitching, image stabilisation is a plus
- Excited about Augmented reality / Virtual Reality
