We’re currently looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our newly-formed Finance Centre of Excellence which main purpose is to provide the UK and EMEA regions with support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the delivery of month/year end close activities by:
Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS
Ensuring consistent financial data quality
Owning selected balance sheet accounts and providing detailed, complete and informative balance sheet reconciliations/analysis
Working closely and effectively with Experian’s Shared Service Centre
Ad-hoc tasks and projects to support manager, team and business
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements in the local market
Analysis of transactional data to understand the key performance drivers of the businesses and translation of these trends into a tangible future impact on the business

The successful candidate will have:
University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant numerate science
(ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Qualified or in progress
Shared Service Center or Offshoring experience is an advantage
Experience of general financial accounting in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
Good understanding of financial management information
Technical accounting skills and proficiency with Excel
Highly logical, numerate individual with an unfaltering attention to detail
Strong stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English
