Solutions Architect
MentorMate is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with our clients to design custom solutions to meet their business needs. In this position, you will craft proposals that outline our engagement with clients and prospects, work with them to ideate and present solutions to their challenges, create deliverables that outline these solutions, identify and evaluate different approaches, and act as a subject matter expert on technology and strategy. Ideal Candidate Profile
1+ years in a Senior or Mid-Level Software Development, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Project Management, Product Manager or Experience Design role
Demonstrated track record in successful delivery of software development projects
Excellent verbal and written command of English
Strong desire and motivation to make a difference for our clients, their products and users
Responsibilities Include
Acting as a subject matter expert to advise clients and prospects about technology, architecture, and strategy
Conceptualizing and proposing solutions to solve business problems for new opportunities
Partnering with the sales team in formulating and executing a sales strategy to secure new business
Leading discovery workshops to gather requirements and define solutions, including application architecture, user flow, roadmap, project estimates, and related deliverables
Acting as a technical liaison between customers and the development team
Effectively delegating and collaborating with practice managers and development resources during the sales process to estimate engagements
Identifying opportunities and risks associated with engagements
Minimum Qualifications
Understanding of software development processes and methodologies
Knowledge in architecting standalone and enterprise systems
Understanding of mobile and web application architecture
Deep understanding of client/server and SOA architectures
Understanding of RESTful web services
Ability to summarize and articulate complex ideas to many audiences
Excellent written, verbal, visual, technical communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Java/Objective C/PHP/.NET Programming Experience
MSSQL/MySQL/NoSQL Architecture Experience
Sales support and operation Experience
Scrum Master Experience
UX/UI Experience
Product Management and Prioritization Experience
