As part of the SAAS programme that Experian are undertaking, the BI SAAS team will be delivering a reporting solution for SAAS,that is scalable for delivery and support. The BI Report Developer will be responsible for developing Microstrategy reports that are used as part of the core standard set supplied as default for all clients, and for providing technical guidance and troubleshooting for Experian consultants who are working directly with clients on custom reports.
Job Title: Business Intelligence Report Developer
Responsibilities:

Become expert at implementing the type of Microstrategy reports necessary for the Experian solution
Interact with delivery resources and keep them on message with best practices regarding Microstrategy development
Work with the DevOps Lead for monitoring and supporting the reports in production
Solve technical report development challenges
Ensure that proper change control processes are followed
Work closely with other BI team members as well as specialist resources such as security
Take part in software design discussions, reviews, planning and strategy sessions - contributing to ongoing improvement of quality assurance standards and procedures
Contribute to the BI Centre of Excellence so that report development processes are continuously improved

Requirements:

Microstrategy report development expertise, Microstrategy OEM experience advantageous as is implementation of multi tenancy use cases in reporting.
Experience of testing Microstrategy reports to prove the contents conform to business rules
Experience of demonstrating Microstrategy reports to stakeholders, gathering feedback and refining them
An appreciation of all aspects of BI – from business requirements down to front end reporting tool set all the way through to back end databases and source systems.
Experience with large transactional data volumes, and the types of solutions that support these in data warehousing.
Strong SQL experience (ideally on Postgres or open source databases), coupled with strong general scripting skills - familiarity of storage of JSON objectives very advantageous.
Experience of Agile development.
Experience with bug tracking systems, version control systems (Jira, Bitbucket)
Good communication skills and ability to work in multi-cultural team, coupled with enthusiasm and drive
Background of developing financial and bank systems advantageous
University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Fluency in English - verbally and in writing.
