We are looking for Unix Deep Technical Support Engineer to work on-site with one of our customers, providing remote server support

The Unix Deep Technical Support Engineer is responsible for delivering operational services to outsourcing accounts on time, on target with quality. He/she focuses on continuous operations, Incident and change management of supported servers. The main goal is to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the customer's production environment and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and predefined Service Level Agreements.

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support, operations monitoring and end user support
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent certifications
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Fluent in English language

Technical skills

UNIX/LINUX - Technical Skills Specifically required: Knowledge & base certification of UNIX, HP-UX, AIX, Solaris & Linux required. Knowledge in any other UNIX systems is a plus.
This includes:
• Clustering & high availability (Service Guard)
• File system, LVM
• Hardware faults - troubleshooting
• Health Check
• Kernel messages
• Performance evaluation
• Printing
• Unix Backup
• Unix Permission
• Unix Processes
• Advanced User Management
• System Security Admin.
• HA Configurations, setup & maintenance
• LVM, Veritas Volume Manager/File Manager (SUN)
• JFS/HFS/ext2/ext3/reiserfs/cluster aware FS
• Performance tools
• Scripting (Korn, Bourne, Perl)
• SMTP (send-mail/virus scan)
• Kernel Re-building
• Kernel tuning
• Good broad networking knowledge – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs
• Networking Unix/Linux services – BIND, SNMP, SAMBA, NIS, NFS, etc.
• Basic SAN knowledge – multipathing, WWNs, architecture, iSCSI
• Familiarity with external Disk Arrays, RAID
