Job Description

Experian MicroAnalytics is looking for a Software Architect. The overall responsibility and accountability of the role will be for the architecture and technology roadmap of the MicroAnalytics platform. You will spend your time translating client requirements, market opportunities and competitive advancements into the ongoing evolution of the platform architecture, our data and our application layers.

Specifically, as MicroAnalytics significantly expands the services and uses cases it provides to telecom clients around the world, you will efficiently flex the platform architecture to support new use cases while maintaining milli-second response times, reliability and the overall robustness of the service. In this regard, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership in high-throughput data connectivity, data transformations, cloud platform development, and AI/Machine Learning integrations.

The position will also involve designing and architecting solutions leveraging platforms and applications built and managed by select third-party partner solutions and our clients’ infrastructure.

You will report directly to the Senior Director, Software Development and Infrastructure, and will work closely with team members in the software development and IT infrastructure teams based in Monaco where the MicroAnalytics headquarters is, as well as the internal client delivery and product management teams.

Location: Flexible location across EMEA & APAC.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate and advocate the vision and architecture roadmap to stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise.
· Formalize nonfunctional requirements (performance, stability, scalability, maintainability, etc.) and ensure all system designs meet all these requirements.
· Continually scan the technology marketplace for new innovations that can help MicroAnalytics improve its platform and services, especially in high throughput, intelligent enterprise production systems
· Build relationships and exert influence in the technical direction and architecture decisions made by other groups and business units. Ensure design compatibility and develop integration patterns.
· Advanced troubleshooting and highest level of technical escalation for complex issues resolution.
· Hands-on prototyping and development of complex components.
· Mentor engineers and strive to raise the level of technical expertise in the team.
· Collaborate and communicate across a multi business unit company and drive transparency.
· Minimize operating expenses to scale.
· Work closely with the sub-teams tasked with innovation and process improvement initiatives across the business unit.

Qualifications

· At least 5 years work experience in a software architect role.
· At least 3 years responsible for technology roadmaps for enterprise applications
· Proficiency in Java & Spring, JEE, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Container technologies (such as Kubernetes & Docker), cloud architectures (such as AWS)
· Experience with CI/CD best practices, methods, frameworks and tools
· (Desired) experience working with telecommunications infrastructure
· Extensive knowledge of architecture and software engineering with current and advanced technologies, at all layers (application, data, platform), including cloud.
· Full stack senior hands-on software development expertise.
· Proven experience creating, building, and executing on a long-term technology vision, including tech stack evolution.
· Demonstrated success in ability to coach and mentor software developers.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to influence outside one’s own organization.
· Demonstrated ability to assertively drive initiatives to execution with little supervision, while proactively communicating status to key stakeholders.
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other related field.
