Your daily activities:
Be involved in the design of the solutions
Create and deliver quality code
Solve complex problems
Collaborate and work effectively with the local team as the project requires
Take ownership of the successful implementation of parts of the solution
Interact with the end client as required to ensure the solution is implemented as well as possible

Required experience and knowledge to feel comfortable with the role:

2 or more years of experience in developing Java applications
J2EE experience (servlet containers, web application servers etc.)
Experience in working with SQL databases.
Very good web skills, including HTTP, HTML, JavaScript and good understanding of CSS, AJAX
Code versioning and control systems (like SVN and GIT)
Excellent Windows skills, UNIX/Linux skills is an advantage
Team focused nature with ability to work autonomously

It would be considered an advantage if you have experience and knowledge in:

Any of the popular and advanced Java-related technologies and frameworks like Spring, Struts, Tiles, Velocity, WebServices (SOAP, REST), XML
Hibernate or other ORM tool
E-commerce systems (Demandware, Hybris and Intershop)
Software patterns and UML, software design and development methodologies
Product information management systems (Informatica, Stibo)
Retail Applications
