2iQ Research is the leading behavioral finance research and analytics firm focused on ownership data (insider stock trades, institutional ownership, share buybacks/capital increases and short interest). Insiders are the best informed market actors and we are following their “smart money”.

We are looking for a Java Developer who is eager to learn new things and develop, who is passionate in data-driven decision making, detail oriented and efficient, to join our expanding IT unit in Sofia.

You will need to have good knowledge of OOP and at least 1-year of experience with Java and a basic knowledge of SQL. In your daily work you will have to support our team of analyst and collaborate with the IT team in Frankfurt. Your tasks will be among others to develop and maintain our web crawler software system and our reporting engine infrastructure.


Responsibilities:
● Develop and support our web crawler software
● Test the improvements of our scraping software
● Build queries and stored procedures/functions if needed
● Work with and support the Analyst Team in Sofia
● Work with the IT Team in Frankfurt, Germany


Skills required
You should have knowledge in some of the following technologies:
● Java, Spring, Groovy (1-3 years experience)
● Scraping libraries like Jsoup, HtmlUnit, Selenium
● Microsoft SQL Server, Stored Procedures
● HTML
● AWS (is a plus)
● Windows/Linux


Nice to have
● German language
● Experience working directly with remote technical teams
