DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR


The role:
You will be responsible for the administration of relational and non-relational databases. You will use mostly Oracle, but also a broad scope of technologies referred to MS SQL, NoSQL, Vertica, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Percona, MariaDB, Elastic Search, Cassandra, CouchDB. You will also be responsible for Installation, backup, restore, disaster recovery and tuning of the databases. You will be a part of a small team and your opinion about database architectural design will be heard.


Main Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of SQL. If it is possible with both T-SQL & PL/SQL
* 2+ years of experience with administration of databases - at least one of the following - Oracle/MS SQL/MySQL
* Skillful in database maintenance and back-up/restore procedures
* Knowledge of Linux - Solaris is preferable
* Bachelor or master degree in IT sector
* Very good command of English language - verbal and written

Advantages:
* Oracle Database Administrator certification
* Knowledge of any scripting language - Perl, Python, PHP or Shell
* Understanding of NoSQL databases - MongoDB / Elastic Search / Cassandra / CouchDB
* Knowledge of automation technologies such as Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Cobbler
